I am so glad I talked Barb into reading book one in this series. It's a series I really love and even though I have read a fair amount of them I was glad to go back and reread them with Barb! Check out my thoughts then go pop in over and Booker T's Farm and see what Barb thought!

A terror born of Jack the Ripper

The details of the crime scene are no coincidence. The body of a promising starlet has been battered, bloodied and then discarded between two of Manhattan's oldest graveyards.

One look and Detective Jude Crosby recognizes the tableau:

A recreation of Jack the Ripper's gruesome work. But he also sees something beyond the actions of a mere copycat. Something more dangerous and unexplainable.

As the city seethes with suspicion, Jude calls on Whitney Tremont, a member of the country's preeminent paranormal investigating team, to put the speculation to rest. Yet when Whitney and Jude delve deeper, what they discover is more shocking than either could have predicted, and twice as sinister.

This series is a comfort read for me, I know it's very formulac and that is probably why as I know exactly what I am going to get a fun romance, bit of suspense and some ghosties! 

In this one we have murders that look like they could be recreations of Jack  The Ripper murders and a movie crew that could have ties to  what is going on. Jude notices something really off about these murders right away. He isn't exactly thrilled when he is told that a team is coming to help him, the first one being Whitney.

He knows they are an elite team and Whitney seems to be good at her job, but when he finds out they are a "ghost hunting" team he is very skeptical about  the whole thing, He still can't help his attraction to her but the ghost thing has hima little not sure. Whitney knows that the ghost thing bothers Jude but she also knows that they are more than just that, they are a team that is very good at finding the not ghost criminal just in a bit of a different way.

My favorite thing about Krewe of Hunters is the team!  The group as a whole is pretty interesting. This team is lead by Jackson and though out the series you get to know different teams but I do love this first group the best. I thought Whitney and Jude had a sweet romance even with thim not being real sure about the ghost thing. Also the main ghost in this one was a DOG! He helped lead them to bones, and also helped Jude when Whitney was in trouble. Jude had to believe a bit after seeing a ghostly dog...lol. I also liked the Jack the Ripper background of this one! 

Just as fun the second time around!
