Two Bloggers One Series ~ The Unspoken by Heather Graham

Barb and I are slowly working our way through the Krewe of Hunter series. It's one of my favorite series! After checking out my review go on over to Booker T's Farm and see what Barb thought. :)

1898: Bound for Chicago, the freighter Jerry McGuen goes down in Lake Michigan, taking with it every man aboard. But what other fate could befall a vessel carrying the ill-gotten sarcophagus of an Egyptian sorcerer? A veteran diver and “ghost ship” expert is exploring the legendary wreck for a documentary. He dies inexplicably inside the freighter’s main saloon. Then another diver is killed and panicked rumors rise like bubbles from the ancient demons have awakened below! The expedition’s beleaguered financier calls paranormal investigator Katya Sokolov to Chicago to save the film ― and perhaps some innocent lives. Along with media forensics guru Will Chan, Kat plumbs the depths of an evil that may date back to the time of the Pharaohs. But some secrets are best drowned in the seas of the past...

I really enjoy this series; they are my comfort reads, but this one is a bit disappointing. Now, I have read this before, as I have actually read up to book 17, I believe, and I had this one down as not a favorite, and my opinion hasn't changed.

This one is about a shipwreck that has been found and considered cursed, especially when the first diver dies, then there is a documentary team who is wanting to dive and video everything. There is an Egyptian mummy on the ship that went down, and now they think the mummy is going around killing those associated with the dive.

You have two krewe members, Will and Kat, and they do not get on with each other very well at first, to the point that I just had a hard time seeing them together, and then it was like all of a sudden, they liked each other enough to jump in bed, and I just didn't care about their relationship. I also wasn't very invested in the shipwreck and those involved with it.

So, this one wasn't a favorite, but I am excited to get to the next one, as I love the krewe member it involves. All series have those in the series that are not great, so on to the next one!
