Week in Review #26

The Week in Review is where I combine Stacking the Shelves, The Sunday Post and It's Monday! What are you reading?  If you have never joined in on these meme's you can check them out by clicking on the meme and it will take you to the host blog.

Not much happened this week, I live  pretty boring life...lol. It rained got cold and I am so ready for actual spring weather but a bit less rain!

Have a great week and happy reading!

Books I have added

 Nothing!

Books read last week

  • A Sinister Revenge - It saddens me that a favorite series has fallen, I wasn't a huge fan of the book before this and I didn't care much for this one either. I was very unhappy with Veronica's attitude throughout most of it and there was not enough Stoker.
  • Murder on Morningside Heights - Thankfully this favorite series hasn't let me down yet! Another enjoyable one in the Gaslight Series. This was #19 of 26 so I am gaining!
  • Daybreak on Raven Island - This was a decent Middle Grade mystery but I liked her other book Midnight at the Barclay Hotel more.
  • Body Under the Piano - If your an Agatha Christie fan you need to try this middle grade series that has her as a kid, she has a friend called Hector Perot and it was so fun! I recommend the audiobook!
  • Tide and Punishment - Third book in the Seaside Cafe series and it was another good one!
DNFED
  • I got to 20% and was so bored and there was 15 people waiting on this audiobook so I just let them have it. :)

Currently reading

  • High-Stakes Blizzard - I had put this one on hold to finish A Sinister Revenge as I was buddy reading it. So still only around 56% into it.
  • The Gamble - This is enjoyable, and need to work on it more. On page 177 of 423.
  • A Great Deliverance - First book in the Inspector Lynley series. On page 238 of 308.
  • The Black Echo - Haven't worked on this one so still about the same spot on it but I have liked what I have read.
  • Wined and Died in New Orleans - Just starting this one so only around 11% and enjoying it so far.

What might be up next

I have several books on Libby I need to try and get too so no telling what will pop up next. :)

How was your week? What did you get?

  1. I had fun with The Writing Retreat, but it's a really slow start so I'm not surprised you dnf'd it. I'm dying for Spring weather too. But I heard someone say the other day that my town sometimes gets snow in May!!! Somebody get me out of here😭

    1. I remember you liking it, so I was hoping but with all those waiting on it I figured I would let them have it. May or may not try it again later. Bet you wished you were back father south...lol. That is horrible about Snow in May but here in Mo. we have gotten some in April before and I thought that was weird! Ick.

  2. We got a blizzard here yesterday although it's melting now. Snow everywhere.

The Writing Retreat looks great. I tried anna Lee Huber's Verity Kent series this week after talking about it for months. Have you read 'em?

Oh I just saw Tammy's comment and went up t read a little closer. See you DNF Retreat- oh that sucks!

  3. You're reminding me that I haven't read a series in a while; you've got so many going.

    1. Yeah, I have a habit of starting a lot of books and them hoping through each one a bit at a time, I seem to read more books in a month that way.

  4. I really like those Inspector Lynley stories but they are longish books. I always seem to have library books come available and then have to say deliver later because I know I won't get to it this week.

Anne - Books of My Heart This is my Sunday Post

  5. Adding Body Under the Piano to my TBR. That looks so fun. I liked A Sinister Revenge more than you did but I do agree I could have done with more Stoker. Have a great week!
